About me
Jennifer Simmons is CTE Teacher with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from LeTourneau University and a Master's in Digital Learning and Leading from Lamar University. After more than 24 years in Corporate America, she made a career change in 2018 to focus on business, technology, and computer science education for middle and high school students.
She leads real-world projects on urban heat and flood mitigation, integrating coding, data analysis, engineering, and environmental science to solve community challenges.She is also the founder of JTS Designs, LLC, where she expands access to tech education, offering basic to intermediate skills training for those in need. Her adaptable, student-centered teaching approach includes platforms like CodeHS and MakeCode, covering coding fundamentals, AI ethics, and website design.
Dedicated to bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical application, she empowers students to use technology for social good, preparing them for future STEM careers.
